Schemes of the Lich King
The Dragon Empire can mean one of several things. To most, when this term is used, it refers to the known world at large, all the peoples, lands and area from the Frost Range in the north west down to Eld in the south east. However, this is slightly misleading as the Dragon Empire strictly refers to the lands in one nation, correctly known as the Dragon Empire. Confusing, it would seem, but to those who live in the known world, it is all about context and easily understood.
There are several nations and city states while not part of the Dragon Empire, that exist within and adjoining the lands. The free cities of Magnimar and Drakkenhall, the nation of Terros, Concordia and the city of Concord as well as the Forge are all technically outside the Dragon Empire’s dominion.
To draw boundaries around what the political demarcation of the Dragon Empire would best be described as the Stalking Trees, west of Anvil, tracing all the way down to Blood Wood in the south east, excepting Terros, of course. Across the body of water known as Calamity, are the cities of Foothold and Cyromeer which are owned by the Dragon Empire, currently, but have changed hands over the years to various parties. Magnimar, famously its own free city is extremely friendly to the Dragon Empire but fiercely maintains its own independence. The Abyss and the Red Waste are not part of what the Dragon Emperor controls but does consider his lands ‘in peril.’
